What on Earth is Orange Wine? First, let’s get one thing out of the way:

Orange wine contains no oranges.

You probably haven’t heard much about it, because it’s a wine that’s tricky to make, and it’s just beginning to make a comeback after thousands of years of obscurity. In fact, it’s a way to taste the wine of the past…

…but, you won’t easily find it on the shelves of your favorite wine store, at least not yet. It’s a specialty wine being made by natural winemakers, but as more people try it, we expect to see it grow in popularity.

Here’s Ramzy Kahhale of Dry Farm Wines to explain it better:

Ready to give it a try? This would be a great wine to get the conversation going at your next dinner party! It pairs well with bold foods like curries, fermented foods like Korean Kim Chi and Ethiopian Injera (a pancake-like bread made of fermented teff), roasted meats and vegetables, and strong cheeses.

Sounds like the makings of an adventurous evening!
